The Truist Atlanta Open (formerly BB&T Atlanta Open) has been a staple of the Southern summer since 2010 and the first event in the seven-tournament series leading up the US Open. The best American players generally show up to this tournament as they prepare for the US Open as a stop on their ATP world tour. As part of the US Open Summer Series, this hard court event is the perfect warm-up. Atlantic Station, one of the most unique venues in all of tennis, is a relatively new area, filled with shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The Atlanta Open is set up in the heart of Atlantic Station, and taken down once the tournament concludes.
